EU – Regulations on the use of BPA in food contact materials and products

The European Commission has adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/3190, banning bisphenol A (BPA) in food contact materials effective January 1, 2025. The regulation aims to enhance consumer safety by prohibiting hazardous substances.

Japan - Amendment to Textile Product Quality Labeling Regulation: Acrylate Fiber Update

On December 25, 2024, Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency amended the Textile Product Quality Labeling Regulation to include acrylate as a designated fiber and set its moisture content at 30%.
